ACC Birmingham LDP Application '26-'27

REQUIREMENTS FOR APPLICANT:


- College junior or senior located near the Birmingham area.
- Actively pursuing your relationship with the Lord.
- Served on an ACC serve team for at least a full semester.
- Be an active member of an ACC Community Group.
- Consider your major and whether you will have sufficient time, energy, and emotional capacity for this commitment.
- No conflicting leadership commitments with other ministry or on-campus organizations.

- Easter is an required Sunday for all LDP’s.


**LDP generally follows the Samford University academic calendar.

EXPECTATIONS FOR LDPS:


SPIRITUAL EXPECTATIONS
- Personal and daily communion with Christ.
- Regularly attend their community group.
- Hold a spirit of willingness and flexibility to serve in whatever capacity is asked.
- Pursue holiness by holding one another accountable and encouraging each other in their faith.

PROFESSIONAL EXPECTATIONS
- 12-15 hours a week (Including all day Sunday & LDP meetings.)

PERSONAL EXPECTATIONS
- Maintaining social media pages that honor God + uphold your witness.
- Social media accounts should be made public during LDP role.
- No drinking before 21.
- No going to bars.

WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT FROM US:


- Accountability in your walk with Jesus.
- Community that is serious about discipleship to Jesus.
- Have fun + build Christ- centered community!
- Gain valuable insight into what vocational ministry looks like.
- Be led by individuals who have your best interest in mind and are dedicated to help you grow spiritually, vocationally, and personally.
- Opportunities to lead others in various ways.
- Weekly teaching from staff + guest speakers.
- Intentional time with LDP staff members and LDP Supervisors.

- Develop confidence in the character of God.
- Fall more in love with Jesus through spiritual formation and biblical teaching.
- Look more like Jesus through spiritual formation and biblical teaching.
- Cultivate individual gifting through spiritual formation, ministry discovery, and spiritual growth.

- Develop a love for the local church in every LDP’s heart.

LDP AREAS

There are seven LDP areas for ACC Birmingham. Below are short descriptions of each area.

THE SEVEN AREAS


College -
Vision, direction, and planning of how to connect college students to Jesus through community groups, events, prayer, and ministry.

Creative -
Exists to assist reverence in worship and serve as a platform for testimonies to be shared with the church body and the nations. You will be asked to serve each ministry’s mission in many capacities depending on skillset; including graphic design, photography, videography, environmental design, logistics/ team coordination, or social media marketing.

Community -
Help connect people to our ACC family through relational ministry on Sundays, helping with adult community groups, community events (Family Dinner, Welcome to Church, etc.), and the preparation and execution of Baptism Sundays.

Kids -
Help with behind the scene details of Children’s Ministry; help in the preparation and execution of all weekly and special events.

Production / Worship -
Play a crucial role in the preparation and execution of the technical and creative aspects of our live gatherings and recordings.
Help with the prayerful creating, planning, and implementation of the full ACC worship experience in all areas of our church.

Serve -
Spend time supporting, planning, communicating, and leading in order to enhance the volunteer culture here at ACC. Be a liaison between our church body and the community, through outreach to local ministries and our surrounding communities.

YTH -
“To equip a generation to walk boldly in the way of Jesus” through leading a YTH Community Group and supporting vision and logistics of the ACC YTH program while building relationships with 6th-12th graders.
